Eerde International Boarding Netherlands prepares children (aged 4-19) for life-long independent learning in an inspiring and safe environment. Eerde is a place where children and young people can learn, live and develop; where only the very best education is good enough.
Learning at Eerde IBS is fun, full and challenging. Eerde students represent different backgrounds, religions, values and cultures. School’s daily language is English. A common language fosters a strong sense of inclusion.
At Eerde IBS, personalised learning is key. School selected different educational programmes carefully to devise a coherent curriculum that has both cumulative and stand-alone learning objectives.
In Upper Secondary students complete the shift towards Cambridge programs, but continue to use the concept-based learning to which international students are accustomed.
Here, the compulsory subject Global Perspectives was developed to offer concept-based learning, and to bridge the gap between IGCSE (Upper Secondary) and the IB Diploma Program. The IGCSE program closes with formal assessment. Global Perspectives prepares students for the IBDP core. Our IGCSE program provides a foundation for both the skills and content of the IBDP.
In the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), students receive further preparation for the next educational step, which is generally to university.

UNIQUE PROGRAMS
Eerde International Boarding School takes its responsibility for each student’s learning experience very seriously. Which is why school developed Learning Enrichment Program that covers everything from extra tuition in intensive maths or intensive English through to support for special educational needs and facilitating exceptionally gifted students. So that each student can reach their full potential.
Music, drama and theatre, visual arts and film are all part of the Arts curriculum at Eerde International Boarding School. Students often give music and drama performances at the school. In the summer a touch of magic is added when the forest theatre in the Eerde grounds is opened for performances.
School organises regular trips to leading museums such as the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, of which Eerde is proud to be an official partner.
Regular trips to the cinema, live music and theatre performances are all part of the cultural activities at Eerde International Boardng School.
THE BOARDING EXPERIENCE
In addition to the well-established educational programmes school offers boarding facilities for students from abroad or whose parents live far away. Boarders age 12 and above live together in a multicultural community on our campus. It is a safe and healthy environment where boarders can learn to be independent and develop personally. School provides 3 balanced meals a day, comfortable double rooms, sports facilities, laundry service and more.
Full boarding at Eerde is the ideal solution for parents located in different parts of the world who want to give their child an international education in a school in Europe. Eerde is the only international school in the Netherlands to offer full boarding facilities 24/7 for students aged 12-19.
When you learn and live with young people from all over the world, you quickly find common ground. As soon as you arrive, you meet your student boarding buddy. They may start as your guide but could soon become a friend for life. Each school year Eerde’s team of boarding parents set up student teams who are responsible for different aspects of boarding life: from clearing up after dinner to organising a sporting or cultural excursion. The team captain rotates regularly, so each student gets a chance to take responsibility for the group. Boarding students and staff are like a second family, where close and supportive relationships are the norm. Life coaches support students in learning to live independently, ensuring your wellbeing as an individual and as part of the Eerde community.
ATHLETICS
Sport is part of daily school life at Eerde. It keeps our students in shape physically and mentally and promotes the values of teamwork, respect and self-improvement,
The sports hall and gym in the castle grounds is available to students as part of the curriculum, and for boarding pupils in their free time.

SPARE TIME
Besides the extensive academic programmes school offers students an abundance of after school activities consisting of sports, music and culture. Benefiting from the beautiful surroundings at the Eerde Castle.
There are activities after class monday to wednesday arrange in school, but thursday and Friday are activities arrange outside the school.
The study block is offered between 6:30pm-8:30 for full time boarding student to assist them with any issue academic/non academic related, homework, paper etc.

Eerde International Boarding school is conviniently located 1 hour 20 mins from Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport, 20 mins to Zwolle or 20 mins to German Border.
