New Hampton School
New Hampton School is an independent, college preparatory school for boarding and day students, founded in 1821. Located in New Hampshire on the U.S. East Coast, the school takes in students from grades 9-12 and postgraduate. Through its traditional strengths—a nurturing community, a diverse student body, a passionate and talented faculty and staff, and a pristine environment—the school fosters a dynamic, vibrant, global learning community.
New Hampton’s mission is to enhance the potential of students and promote academic success and development of caring community members. On a solid foundation of Respect and Responsibility, the school’s core values, and hands-on, global learning, New Hampton turns young students into people of substance and character with the capacity to learn and create independently and collaboratively.Â
The school cultivates active global citizens, and it is proud of its international community. The school hosts 340 students of which 265 are boarding students. Each year, around 75 international students represent 30+ countries and form bonds with domestic students from roughly 27 states.
New Hampton’s location doesn’t get much better than the 340 beautiful acres in the village of New Hampton, nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains. Explore the outdoor areas, join one of the 17 sports, participate in one or more of the 20 clubs and 15 co-curriculars, or enjoy the many different activities always going on both on and off campus.

In the Service Learning Program, the school further dedicates time for students to complete a service project together throughout the school year.
